Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies’s (MAIMS) Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) is all set to organize it’s 1st Justice J.S.Verma Memorial ADR & Client Counselling Competition and NAVITAS – MAIMS 1st National Law Fest, 2021.
The event will happen in collaboration with the family of Justice J.S.Verma, NALSA – National Legal Service Authority of India and FSRI- Foundation for Sustainable Rule of Law Initiatives.
What is ADR & Client Counselling Competition (17th -19th March 2021)?
MAIMS 1st Client Counselling Competition seeks to encourage the effective use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and to promote an open exchange of ideas, experience and technical know-how between students and legal professionals which includes five competitions namely- Mediation Competition, Arbitration Competition, Negotiation Competition, Client Counselling Competition and National Asian Parliamentary Debate.

About NAVITAS ( 20th-21th March 2021)
NAVITAS is the National Law Festival, which will involve various literary and cultural events- National Constitutional Law Quiz, Article Writing Competition, Creative Writing Competition, Extempore Moot Court Competition, Judgment Writing Competition, Solo Singing Competition, Best Out Of Waste, Traditional Dance Competition, Just A Minute, Stand Up Comedy and Poster Making Competition.
Along with the event, a workshop on Mediation will be held prior to the competition by Ms Jennifer L. Brandt, an experienced Attorney. She has served as a Judge and Mediator at ABA and ICC Commercial Mediation Competitions.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERION FOR THE COMPETITION
- Students pursuing their five-year/three-year bachelor’s degree in law from a recognised University/College are eligible to participate in the tournament.
- Literary and Cultural Events are open for all students from any recognised university.
VENUE
- The competitions/workshop will be held virtually through Google Meet & Zoom.
