What is basically ‘an underrated movie’ ? A movie which is good but didn’t receive much good reviews as much as it deserved. Right? But there are movies which are well received and yet they are unloved, ignored or overlooked. So here is one of the underrated movies “Gurgaon”.

‘Gurgaon’ movie is one the most underrated dark classic of Indian cinema, released in 2016.It is a movie played well by the cinematic craftsmen who know their art very well. Also, it is based on true events.

ABOUT THE MOVIE
It is located in an urban area that is going to seed. The plot revolves around a power struggle in a real-estate clan headed by a blunt tycoon, who is trying to live with a painful past. He has an adopted daughter whom he loves more than his own kids also. This brings out a crack of anger and frustration between the father and the son. Due to this, the son (Akshay Oberoi) consequently plans to showcase a kidnap of her adopted sister to fetch money from his own dad.
CRUX:
Gurgaon movie doesn’t promote the togetherness of family just like any other Bollywood movie. It is more authentic and original and brings one to reality. The environment at home also is not always safe and that’s the crux of the story.
PERSONAL FRONT:
According to me, the movie is explained very well as there was not even a single loose end. The direction is perfect and there are not many songs which are okay because it’s not a ‘typical’ Bollywood movie after all. It doesn’t rely on big-bang drama for effect, the acting of all actors is complete in itself. Of course, we can’t miss the ending as it just changes the game and the last part steals the show.
