Plot
A socially awkward high schoolboy Otis doesn’t have much experience or you can say no experience in the lovemaking and sex department. Contrary to that, his mother Jean is a sex therapist who gives good guidance on sex and stuff to her clients as well as her child. Being surrounded by magazines, manuals, books, videos, and tediously being around sex conversation, Otis becomes an expert on this subject. Though he himself requires some guidance in this area later. The boy decides to make use of his secret knowledge in school where he can build a social image of his own. So, he teams up with a whip-smart and badass girl of the school, Maeve.
Worth It?
It’s a ‘Coming of Age’ TV series presented in 45- minute episode. Once you will finish with the first episode your mind and heart will be totally entitled to watch this show till the end. So, for the next few days or weeks, this can be your binge in the show without any second thought. The series is more than the title which it suggests, its also about Teen problems, social acceptance, girl supporting girls, and much more. It has so much relevance in real life too. even though the plot is quite simple yet adds so many points of laughter, gags, tears, and soulful points in the series. There aren’t many shows which cover a range of social issues just in one go. Definitely, sex education has achieved and set a benchmark for other series.
5 Points To Learn From Sex Education
- Only have sex with someone who trusts you and respects your soul.
- Your orgasm is not secondary.
- There’s nothing wrong with masturbating! For girls as well as boys.
- Sex and Love are two very different things.
- Your body is yours and only yours! Don’t be afraid to say NO.
Conclusion
Netflix is quite revolutionary in the romantic comedy series. Not to forget Sex Education is one such those. After the first season, it broke even more boundaries in its second and third seasons consistently. Sex is something that is consensual. It’s really difficult to enjoy sex when you are insulted for that same body. So stop body shaming and normalize the term ‘Sex’.
