So far, there has been a lot of confusion regarding the conduct of NEET 2021.
Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal put an end to this today by saying that there is no plan to cancel NEET 2021.
Mr. Pokhriyal in a live webinar answered all the questions regarding the board and entrance exams to be conducted in 2021.
As the students and parents were encouraged to submit questions tagged with #EducationMinisterGoesLive, Mr. Pokhriyal today addressed all the issues with clarity.
“There is no plan to cancel NEET 2021, we postponed NEET thrice in 2020 and gave students an opportunity to change their exam centres.”, the minister said.

Students Concerned Over Syllabus
Talking about the reduction of the syllabus, Mr. Pokhriyal stated, “We are trying how many questions can be framed in what way that whatever syllabus reduction has happened.”
Because of the sudden coronavirus pandemic, all types of exam dates have already been postponed several times.
NTA successfully conducted the first session of JEE Main 2020 but had to postpone the second session.
Despite several protests from students, education stakeholders and politicians, NTA, after taking permission from the Supreme Court, conducted the entrance exam in September.
NEET is the single gateway for admission to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH admissions in India.
Based on NEET result, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and state bodies conduct counselling for 15% all-India quota (AIQ) and 85% state quota seats.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) – conducting body of the All-India medical entrance exam, is likely to release the detailed notification, along with the schedule for registration, admit card and result, on the official website.
The exam schedule for NEET 2021 may be released soon and ample time will be given to students to prepare for exams, said the minister.
