Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology is a leading educational institution. It is a private engineering college located in Janakpuri. The institute has established the departments of computer science, business administration & commerce, and education.
The department of computer science offers a three-year BCA program. MSI’s department of business administration & commerce offers BBA (banking and insurance), BBA (general), and B.Com (Hons) programs. The department of education offers a B.Ed degree course.

Admissions to the college are conducted on the basis of IPU CET as well as the JEE Mains for BTech. Generally, students are required to get a rank of under 500 to get admission in MSI(ranks may vary w.r.t the courses)

Shaw, PolicyBazar.Com, USHA International, ICICI Prudential, Aditya Birla Insurance Co., British Telecom and Reliance Jio. A student got placed as an International human resources operations and projects associate in D.E. Shaw with an annual package of 17 LPA. Three students from the BBA program got placed as a commercial officer trainees in USHA International with an annual package of 6 LPA. Ten students from B.Com (Hons) and BBA course got recruited in EduTrainerwith a package of 8.40 LPA.
