PRATIBIMB itself means REFLECTION which gives you the platform to reflect the talent you are hiding inside yourself. PRATIBIMB 2K20 is an initiative by Journalism and Mass Communication students of MERI. It aims to provide a superior platform to showcase your talent and discover more about the field of Journalism and Communication.
The theme of our fest is Unbox Happiness. This time fest will be held virtually and the main highlights of the fest will be; Memethon, Solo and Duet Dance, Solo and Duet Singing, Voiceover hunt, Snippets Making, Photo Feature, Mimicry, Poetry Competition, AD Mania and Photo Exhibition.
Events of Pratibimb:
- RJ HUNT
The participants were expected to use the power of their voice to convey their thoughts on topics that would be given on the spot. The time limit is 5 minutes in which each contestant will get 2 minutes for preparation and 3 minutes to perform.
- AD Mania
It is an opportunity to bring out individual and collective talent of the students participating in it. Teams of 5 each will be made and the topic will be given on the spot.
- Photo Exhibition
Photography contests is a great way for photographers to get recognition and benchmark their work against peers from around the world. There is a wide range of photography contests that are sure to inspire photographers around the world, regardless of age or skill level.
- Voice over
Voice-over is a production technique where a voice—that is not part of the narrative —is used in a radio, television production, filmmaking, theatre, or other presentations. The voice-over is read from a script and may be spoken by someone who appears elsewhere in the production or by a specialist voice talent.
- Poetry
An event, in which poets perform spoken word poetry before a live audience and a panel of judges.
- Memethon
Memes are a huge deal these days and many students are keen on editing and making new memes of their own. It depicts their editing skills as well as reveal their funny side, their tendency to make someone laugh.

- Photo Feature
It recognizes a distinguished example of feature photography in black and white or color, which may consist of a photograph or photographs, a sequence or an album.
- Mimicry
The art or the action or skill of imitating someone or something, especially in order to entertain or ridicule.
- Snippet
Snippets are small reusable pieces of journalism that are designed to give you more context when you need it most. They’re purposely minimized so that you can choose to ignore them if you already have enough context to understand.
- Dance duo
Competitive dance is a popular, widespread activity in which competitors perform dances in any of several permitted dance styles. A team of 2 shall perform on a song and will be judged on various aspects.
- Dance solo
Competitive dance is a popular, widespread activity in which competitors perform dances in any of several permitted dance styles. An individual shall perform on a song and will be judged on various aspects.
- Singing (Solo & Duo)
In a singing competition, typically young vocal artists participate to demonstrate their singing skills to a jury and a public audience. Most competitions involves concert performances. This competition shall take place on an individual basis or I a team of 2.
